Classic Dahlia
Collection |
 |
| The name of this series is
perhaps somewhat misleading. Although this is a type of dahlia that
looks like the dahlias we know from descriptions and books of long
ago, the collection itself is really brand-new. When breeding them,
one of the main criteria was to develop dahlias with a nostalgic look,
dark leaves and a perfect harmony between the deeply coloured centres
of the flowers and the darker foliage of the plant. The series now
consists of about six or seven refreshing, natural-looking colours
with the intention of having them planted in a sunny spot in the border
of the romantic garden against the foliage of such plants as conifers
or grey-leafed annual or perennial plants. |
