Bishop of Llandaff was introduced in 1927
and has known from that moment periods of more and less popularity.
For a number of years again it is a highly demanded dahlia again,
of course for the special red colored flowers but certainly also
for the very decorative, deeply serrated dark colored foliage.
Named for Bishop Hughes of Llandaff (now
Cardiff), Wales, UK in 1924 and won the prestigious Award of Merit
from the RHS in 1928.
